From the vineyard to the glass, pleasant and semi-sparkling: the wines of Piacenza’s wine making tradition
We are at the same time wine growers, wine makers and bottlers.
We select the soil and the grape varietals, we set the yield per hectare.
We choose the right time for harvesting, we adopt the most up-to-date wine making techniques and we bottle our wine when it is ready. This is why we can guarantee the quality of our production from start to finish.
The typical semi-sparkling character of the Colli Piacentini wines
The traditional technique of natural refermentation enhances the fruity, pleasant and fresh notes that distinguish these Colli Piacentini wines.
A D.O.C. appellation very appreciated for its amicable typical character.
An easy choice to suit all tastes and wine & food pairing combinations
Three red wines and three white wines, all semi-sparkling, each with its unique character.
A wide choice of aromas and flavours that perfectly combine tradition with modern eating habits.
Excellent quality/price ratio, also available in magnum size bottles.
Total quality guaranteed by our great wealth of experience
The wines that exhibit Il Grappolo trade name benefit from the longstanding experience of Cantina Valtidone in the field of wine-making.
This means that each wine always maintains the typical character and the quality that make it the preferred choice of the consumer.
Quality within tradition
Il Grappolo produces semi-sparkling vintage wines, made using Piacenza’s traditional technique of natural refermentation. The soil and the hillside position of the vineyards give these wines their lively and convivial character, making them easy to pair with food for either simple meals or more formal dining occasions. The grape selection process and the modern wine making techniques guarantee high quality within tradition.
